BOSS OR BHARAT OPERATING SYSTEM HAS BEEN DEVELOPED BY C-DAC.IT USES KDE AND GNOME DESKTOP ENVIRONMENTS. ALTHOUGH THE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR GNOME IS QUITE LOW BUT KDE APPLICATION INTERFACE USES MORE RAM SPACE. CHOOSING A 512 MB RAM FOR BOSS 4.0 WILL BE A HEALTHY CHOICE RATHER THAN A 256 MB RAM. MOREOVER 1 GB SWAP SPACE SHOULD BE ENOUGH WHEN OPENING UP MORE APPLICATIONS. INDIA HAS TO DEVELOP A GNOME BASED BOSS DISTRO FOR REVIVING OLD MACHINES WITH FEWER SYSTEM REQIUREMENTS…..
